Retrouvaille offers a lifeline of hope and healing for marriages.
- An International ministry of couples dedicated to serving married couples.
- Christian ministry, supported by clergy, where couples help couples. Catholic in origin, the program welcomes all faiths or none.
- We focus on improving communication and strengthening marriages, helping couples reconnect and rediscover their love.
- Our 3-phase program starts with a weekend experience, followed by 12 post-weekend sessions and ongoing monthly small group enrichment meetings.
Marriage is in crisis in our country, and it is driving a crisis of faith. Studies show that "72% of all American churches lack a substantive marriage ministry, while 74% have no ministry for newlyweds to help them through their first critical years of marriage." (Communio Barna study)

WhileWouldn’t it be great if a book or online series could guarantee a better marriage? While we all want quick results, a strong, healthy marriage requires real effort from both spouses. We’re here to support couples and remind them they’re not alone. Despite all the preparation—through classes, books, or videos—real-life differences between spouses make ongoing support essential.
Most couples didn’t anticipate the challenges they'd face. We understand, because we’ve been there too. With careers, technology distractions, social expectations, children, and extended family, it can be overwhelming.
In fact “1 in 5 married church goers struggle in their marriage. The gap in relationship satisfaction between married men and women is substantial as women are 62 percent more likely to report struggling than married men.” Communio-Barna study of 2023.

Couples often face challenges with communication, conflict, and intimacy. Marriages can start to feel more like business partnerships, with spouses becoming roommates instead of soulmates. Our peer-led program offers encouragement, hope, and practical tools to help couples rebuild the marriage they truly want. Through inspiring talks from couples who have overcome struggles, participants find reassurance that they’re not alone. Peer ministers share insights from their own journeys to help others reconnect. Over the weekend, couples engage in guided exercises privately, practicing new skills and taking home powerful communication tools to stay connected for years to come.

Marriages heal best in community.
God lives in community as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and so we too were designed to live in community. Retrouvaille provides couples with an opportunity to join a worldwide community, either locally or online, to continue their journey, accompanied by other couples who are dedicated to live out their vocation and build healthy marriages. Monthly groups continue as long as the couple wants to be engaged in them. As an all volunteer ministry, we do not charge for participation in these follow up sessions but we do accept donations with deep appreciation.
